Expo Chef

Tees Active Limited has partnered with Expo Chef to help deliver the healthy eating message to Stockton-on-Tees. This fantastic partnership includes interactive shows with schools, families and also young athletes.
Mark is excited about the events, and says "This project is excellent. Tees Active are passionate about making their community healthy and it is great to see so many parents wanting to be invovled. Working with elite young athletes is a different challenge for Expo Chef, as they naturally keep fit, are in good physical shape and understand nutrition. However, turning scientific knowledge of nutrition into a tasty plate of healthy food is the aim! It is wonderul to see so many young people responding to the challenge with every attendee interacting, tasting new food and taking simple cooking ideas back to training camps and their homes."

Mark will be providing a receipe for you to try each month, but first things first..... A word from Mark:
Ok, before we start…….you must
1. Clear clutter away
2. Wash your hands
3. Rinse and clean the fruit and vegetables
My recipes consist of 3 easy steps to cooking… which are:
1. Preparation (PREP)
2. Cooking method (COOK)
3. Tasting the food (TRY)
There are no exact measurements as my recipes are only guidelines….but please eat everything in moderation and remember those all important portion sizes! I want you to experiment with flavours using herbs and spices. Remember cooking is not an exact science…..so give these a go..............................and good luck!
Remember to try to vary your diet! Just because you like one of the recipes doesn’t mean you should carry on eating that dish alone! Challenge your body with new meals and new ingredients. Plus it is fun to experiment with food!
REMEMBER: USE HERBS TO SEASON INSTEAD OF SALT!
Recipies
Italian Meatballs and Fresh Tomato Sauce
